Rental Policies & Terms | Hybrid Rentals Group

Rental Eligibility

Renter must be 21 years of age or older with a valid California driver's license
A clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years is required
Valid personal auto insurance covering the rented vehicle must be provided before pickup
Rideshare platform insurance (active Uber/Lyft commercial coverage) may satisfy insurance requirements
Renter must complete and sign a rental agreement before taking possession of any vehicle

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required at the start of every rental period
The deposit amount varies by vehicle tier — confirmed at time of reservation
Deposit is returned in full within 3–5 business days of vehicle return, subject to inspection
Deductions may be made for damage beyond normal wear and tear, missing fuel, or cleaning fees
Deposit is forfeited if the vehicle is returned with undisclosed damage

Vehicle Use & Restrictions

Vehicles are approved for personal use and rideshare/delivery platform driving (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash)
Smoking inside any vehicle is strictly prohibited. Violations result in a $250 cleaning fee
Vehicles must remain within the state of California unless prior written approval is obtained
Renter is responsible for all traffic violations and citations incurred during the rental period
Subletting or transferring the vehicle to a third party is not permitted
Off-road use is strictly prohibited

Maintenance & Accidents

Renter must report any accidents, damage, or mechanical issues within 24 hours of occurrence
Do not operate the vehicle if a warning light appears — contact us immediately at (323) 333-3095
Renter is responsible for maintaining proper tire pressure and fluid levels during rental
Unauthorized mechanical modifications or repairs are prohibited
In case of accident, renter must obtain a police report and exchange insurance information

Fuel Policy

All vehicles are provided with a full tank of gas at pickup
Vehicles must be returned with a full tank of gas or a fuel replacement fee will apply
Fuel replacement fee is charged at current market rate plus a $25 service charge
Vehicles are hybrid — regular unleaded gasoline only (87 octane minimum)

Cancellation & Termination

Weekly rentals: 48-hour notice required for cancellation without penalty
Monthly rentals: 7-day notice required for early termination
Hybrid Rentals Group reserves the right to terminate any rental agreement for violation of these policies
No refunds for early returns within the same rental period
Repeated late payments may result in termination of rental privileges

Terms & Conditions — Summary

By renting from Hybrid Rentals Group, the renter agrees to be solely responsible for the vehicle during the rental period, to carry valid auto insurance, and to comply with all California motor vehicle laws. Hybrid Rentals Group is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or property damage that occur during the rental period. All disputes shall be resolved under California law in Los Angeles County.
